This gentle song, Flying Away, uses images of flying, falling and homecoming to echo sentiments of the great Zen Buddhist sage Qingyuan Weixin who, observing over a lifetime the deep and ironic ‘circularity’ in his own understanding of life, wrote:

“Before I studied Zen … I saw mountains as mountains, and rivers as rivers. When I arrived at a more intimate knowledge, I saw that mountains are not mountains, and rivers are not rivers.
